Vontobel Asset Management has bolstered its fixed income team with two senior hires, the Zurich-based group announced.
The Swiss investment firm has appointed Adrian Bender as a portfolio analyst and Sergey Goncharov as a credit analyst, which is part of plans to strength its overall bonds coverage.
Bender, in his new capacity as portfolio adviser for the global flexible fixed income and emerging market debt fund ranges, will represent portfolio managers during client meetings, roadshows and sales training.
Formerly at Banque Credit Lyonnais and Credit Agricole in Paris, Bender has 20 years of experience in the industry and joins from Amundi in London.
Meanwhile, Goncharov is set to join the emerging market bonds team, working under the direction of team leader, Luc D’Hooge, who is head of EMD and lead manager on the Vontobel Emerging Markets Debt fund.
He joins Vontobel after working for Sberbank CIB in Moscow, where he worked as senior credit analyst in the fixed income research division.
Commenting on the new hire, head of fixed income at Vontobel and Citywire + rated, Hervé Hanoune said: ‘We create value for our clients from the talent we have in our team. With these two new hires, we continue to expand our fixed-income offering by adding know-how and resources to both credit analysis and service.’
