Vontobel Asset Management has appointed Gregor Hirt as head of multi-asset solutions from rival firm UBS, the company has announced.
Hirt will join the Zurich-based asset manager's multi-asset subsidiary in July 2017, which oversees CHF 22 billion (€20 billion) in assets under management. He will also serve as a member of the Investment Committee.
Hirt joins the firm from UBS Global Asset Management where he worked from 2014 as chief investment officer of global investment solutions for Europe and Switzerland.
In 2016, he was appointed global chief strategist for multi-asset at UBS. Hirt has also held roles at Schroders and Credit Suisse.
