The head of third-party funds at Crédit Andorra, David Rabella, has quit to assume the chief investment officer post at rival group Alkimia Capital, Citywire Selector understands.
Rabella had spent 12 years with Crédit Andorra having first joined in 2005 as a quantitative asset manager. He was named head of third-party funds and alternatives in July 2010.
It is understood Rabella joined Alkimia Capital, which is an Andorra-based multi-family office, at the end of November and will focus on its long-term investment view.
Rabella is a named portfolio manager in the Citywire database, having previously overseen the thematic equity fund Crediiinvest SICAV Sustainability with Crédit Andorra’s Jordi Sanchez, who oversees equity selection.
During his tenure, Rabella oversaw Crédit Andorra’s fund selection unit, which covered traditional and alternative investments, as well as ETFs, on a discretionary basis.
