LISBON: Swiss group Banque SYZ & CO has hired consumer goods specialist Thomas Mesmin to strengthen the team under star manager Eric Bendahan.
He previously worked for French research group Crédit Agricole Chevreux in Paris, where he worked for seven years as an analyst covering luxury goods, and officially joined the European equity team in OYSTER's London Office on June 3.
The move to add Mesmin takes the team covering European equities up to five members.
Over the past three years the European Opportunities fund has posted returns of 24% while its benchmark, STOXX Europe 600 TR EUR, has risen 27.8%.
The European Selection fund, which was launched at the end of 2011, has posted returns of 21.05% over the past year while its Citywire benchmark, MSCI Europe Growth TR EUR, has risen 17.35%.
