Kames Capital has reshuffled its fixed income team in the wake of two senior portfolio managers joining rivals Liontrust, the company has announced.

Head of fixed income David Roberts, who managed the Kames Strategic Global Bond fund, alongside head of fixed income investment strategy, Phil Milburn, have both decided to leave the business.

Liontrust has hired the pair to bolster its efforts in fixed income and intends to launch strategic, high yield and absolute return bond portfolios for the managers in the near future.

Meanwhile, Kames Capital has announced Citywire AA-rated Stephen Snowden and Adrian Hull will replace Roberts and Milburn with immediate effect as co-heads of fixed income.

Snowden will continue as co-manager of the Kames Absolute Return Bond fund alongside Colin Finlayson. He will also continue to run the Investment Grade Global Bond and the Investment Grade Bond fund, alongside AA-rated Euan McNeil.

Elsewhere in the team, Juan Valenzuela will become co-manager of the Kames Strategic Global Bond and the Kames Strategic Bond fund, which both Roberts and Milburn were co-managers.

Alex Pelteshki who joined Kames in 2014, has also been appointed co-manager of the funds, with Finlayson as the supporting manager on both funds.

Iain Buckle will continue as co-manager of the Sterling Corporate Bond fund, which Roberts was also a co-manager, with Rory Sandilands, who joined Kames in June 2016 from Goldman Sachs, also joining the fund as co-manager.

David Ennett and Stephen Baines will continue to run the Kames High Yield Bond fund which Milburn was a co-manager of. Ennett will be joined by Jack Holmes as co-manager of the High Yield Global Bond fund, which Milburn also co-managed.
