RWC Partners has launched two long-only European Growth equity Ucits funds for recent recruit Graham Clapp, the company has announced.
The first fund, the RWC European Growth fund will be managed following the strategy employed by the team’s existing Cayman-domiciled fund.
Whilst the RWC Continental European Growth fund will have limited exposure to UK-listed companies. These will be launched in Q4 2017.
The fund will be managed by Clapp and his team of seven portfolio managers and analysts. All of whom joined RWC Partners in September 2017 from Pensato Capital following a takeover by the asset manager.
The team has worked together for over 10 years and employs a core investment process which Clapp has implemented since he began managing assets at Fidelity in 1990.
This includes the existing Pensato Europa Absolute Return fund, which was also moved across to RWC Partners as part of the takeover.
Commenting on the launches, RWC Partners’ CEO Dan Mannix said: ‘Graham was extremely keen to launch a long-only fund for European investors. We are seeing increasing interest in the European equity space and believe the asset class currently offers long-term strategic investors a real opportunity.'
