Nordea Asset Management has expanded its multi-asset range with a new risk-focused fund, Citywire Selector’s sister site Citywire Deutschland has learned.
The Nordea Flexible Fixed Income Plus fund will be managed by Karsten Bierre, who is head of macro strategy and fixed income allocation at the firm as well as manager of the Nordea 1 – Flexible Fixed Income fund.
The fund was launched on December 16 2016 and had €44 million in assets under management on January 6.
This new fund allows Nordea to bridge the gap in the risk profile between the Nordea 1 – Flexible Fixed Income and Nordea 1 – Stable Return funds, which was closed to new investors in September last year.
‘As with the other two funds, the focal point of the new fund is risk control and this is the starting point for asset allocation,’ Bierre told Citywire Deutschland. He added that the equities would make up a maximum 15% of the fund.
