Morgan Stanley has unveiled a new 'go-anywhere' infrastructure strategy for its head of listed real assets, Citywire Selector can reveal.
The Morgan Stanley Investment Funds Global Infrastructure Unconstrained fund is index agnostic and invests in shares and REITs of both developed and emerging market companies.
The fund, which was launched formally on January 26, has no regional, country, sector or market capitalisation bias.
The Luxemburg-domiciled strategy is managed by Ted Bigman and Mathew King. Bigman is head of listed real assets investing at the firm and is in charge of the global team based in New York, Amsterdam and Singapore.
His co-manager King currently is a co-lead on the $1 billion Morgan Stanley Global Infrastructure Securities fund.
The new strategy has accrued $4 million in the short period since its launch. It is benchmarked against the OECD G7 Inflation +5%.
