Veteran MFS Investments portfolio manager Jim Swanson is to call time on his 32-year career with the firm.
Swanson, who is also chief investment strategist at the Boston-based asset manager, is to retire at the end of 2018.
Swanson is lead manager on the $3.9 billion MFS Diversified Income fund, alongside Citywire AA-rated Richard Gable, in addition to Matthew Ryan, Jonathan Sage, David Cole, William Adams, Ward Brown and Geoffrey Schechter.
He also manages two Ucits funds and is lead manager on the $24.9 million MFS Managed Wealth fund, alongside Adams, Robert Almeida, Michael Roberge and Barnaby Wiener.
