HSBC Private Banking has hired a new global head of funds and ETFs to oversee its refocused fund selection programme, the company has announced.
Sai Tampi will oversee manager selection and be responsible for the development and distribution of the firm’s funds and ETFs.
He replaces Nitin Singh, who left the bank earlier this year for personal reasons.
Based in London, Tampi will also oversee strategic partner programme with selected funds and ETF groups which HSBC PB launched in May 2017.
He will report to the firm’s head of managed investment solutions, Henry Lee.
Tampi joins HSBC PB from Standard Life Investments, where he previously headed up business development for global strategic alliances.
Prior to this Tampi also held senior roles at HSBC and Credit Suisse as local head and CIO for multi-asset class solutions and as head of asset management.
Commenting on the hire, Lee said: ‘We are delighted that Sai is returning to HSBC. His considerable experience will further strengthen our products leadership team, and ensure that we continue to provide our clients with innovative investment opportunities and solutions in the funds and ETFs arena.’
