Athymis Gestion launches first French fund of its kind, set to target millennial money.
The fund, called Athymis Millennial will be managed by two millennials; Hicham El-Aissaoui and Sebastien Peltier.
The Athymis Millennials fund will seek to fully integrate millennials’ aspirations and will pick companies that are specifically exposed to this demographic.
Athymis Gestion believes millennials bring with them a profound force that will reshape business in forthcoming years.
The Paris-based asset manager said the generation have overtaken the baby boomers as the largest generation and by 2020 will represent half of France’s active population.
‘Millennials are the first full digital generation and are connected 24/7, they reshape brand relationship and favour experience rather than ownership. Millennials want to have an impact at work and in society.’
Commenting on the launch Stéphane Toullieux, President of Athymis Gestion said the fund is the first French fund of its kind.
‘It fully integrates the changes in society brought by Millennials, and is fully in line with our willingness to bring the best products and services to asset allocators.’
