French asset management firm Montpensier Finance has hired two portfolio managers to take on its flagship funds.
Jérôme Antonini and Gilles Constantini both join as directors within the investment team and will manage large and mid-cap European equity funds, including the Best Business Models and Great European Models funds.
It was announced earlier this week that one of the group’s leading fund managers, Stéphane Nières-Tavernier, had left Montpensier Finance after a decade at the firm.
In doing so, he stepped down from the Best Business Models, Great European Models and Quadrator Equity funds to join Tocqueville Finance.
Constantini joins the group shortly after announcing his departure from La Financière de l’Echiquier, which came amid several manager reshuffles at the French firm. He left after seven years at the group, where he ran the Echiquier Major fund.
Citywire Selector reported in January that Constantini had apparently joined Montpensier Finance but no formal announcement had been made at that time.
Antonini joins from Amundi where he spent more than a decade as a fund manager, most notably on its eurozone equity funds for insurance companies.
