Paris-based asset manager Laffitte Capital Management has hired a new portfolio manager, the company has announced.
Bertrand Dardenne will work on the Laffitte Risk Arbitrage and Laffitte Dynamic Strategies funds concentrating on merger arbitrage in Europe and the US. The Laffitte Risk Arbitrage fund is currently managed by Gabriel Teodorescu and Arnaud Yvinec.
He joins the French firm from Burren Capital Advisors, where he was head analyst in charge of merger arbitrage and was based in Gibraltar. Dardenne has also worked at JP Morgan in London in equity derivatives trading team.
A spokesperson for the asset manager confirmed that Laffitte was also in the process of hiring two portfolio analysts for the investment team, but these were not yet finalised.
