Amundi’s former head of fund selection and advisory, Mai Khanh Vo, has joined Architas in an investment adviser role within its Hong Kong unit, Citywire Selector can reveal.
Mai Khanh stepped down from the French firm at the end of October after 20 years. This came against the backdrop of internal changes to the Amundi fund selection team amid the merger with Pioneer Investments.
It is understood that Mai Khanh, who featured on the cover of Citywire Selector in her previous role, will work in the Asia arm of the multi-management company as head of investments for Asia. She formally joined on 1 November.
The Hong Kong team reports into Architas’ chief investment officer, Jaime Arguello. He was on the cover of the September 2017 edition of Citywire Selector discussing his work as a portfolio manager-turned-fund selector.
Mai Khanh first joined Amundi in 1999 and was made a multi-management analyst in 2001. After almost a decade operating within this team, Mai Khanh was then named head of fund selection and advisory in mid-2010.
