Former Carmignac investment analyst Caroline Slama has resurfaced at DNCA Investments as a portfolio manager in its diversified team, Citywire Selector has learned.
Slama stepped down from Carmignac in 2014 and it is understood she joined the Paris-based asset manager in late 2016 in an investment role. However, it was not publicised.
It has emerged she is now part of the unit overseen by DNCA Investments’ chief investment officer Jean-Charles Mériaux, which is comprised of nine investment professionals.
She has been assigned to work as part of the team overseeing the DNCA Evolutif fund, which is defined as an ‘all-weather flexible fund’ with €781 million in assets. The management team is made up of Xavier Delaye, Augustin Picquendar and Thomas Planell.
This is as well as working on the Luxembourg-domiciled version of the fund, which is called DNCA Invest Evolutif. This is overseen by the same team and has €526 million in assets under management.
Slama brings with her 15 years of investment experience, which includes seven at Carmignac on global equities and fixed income, as well as six years as a sell-side analyst team.
