Former Lombard Odier fund manager Michal Wozniak has joined BlackRock in its emerging market debt unit.
Wozniak (pictured) left the Geneva-based group last summer without a set destination named.
It now appears he joined London-based BlackRock to little fanfare at the end of 2013. He has joined the team headed up by former BNP Paribas IP manager Sergio Trigo Paz.
Trigo Paz was charged with building BlackRock’s emerging market debt capabilities when he, along with seven other managers from BNP Paribas IP, joined in April 2012.
In his new role, Wozniak is responsible for managing multi-segment strategies, including sovereign debt, local debt and emerging market currency investments.
Wozniak has 13 years of investment experience. He began his professional career as an analyst in 2000 and has spent time as head of fixed income at Credit Suisse, as well as portfolio manager roles at JPM and LOIM.
