Eastspring Investments has hired BNP Paribas Asset Management’s chief investment officer for multi-asset solutions to bolster its cross-asset efforts.
Colin Graham, who was formerly head of global multi-asset at BlackRock, is now based in Singapore and will be charged with further developing the Asian investment firm’s multi-asset plans.
In his new capacity, Graham, who reports to Eastspring's CIO, Virginie Maisonneuve, will have responsibility for the investment process, philosophy and portfolio strategy of the new venture.
Commenting on the hire, Maisonneuve said Graham had the track record and cross-asset expertise to allow the firm to develop an offering to complement its existing asset classes.
Graham brings with him 25 years of investment experience in total, 16 of which were spent with BlackRock before stepping down in early 2013.
He joined the firm through Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, which was formerly Mercury AM, and rose to become co-head of global multi-asset strategies.
He joined BNP Paribas AM in March 2014 and was named chief investment officer and head of tactical asset allocation and research. He was based in London during his four years with the firm.
Eastspring Investments is the Asia-based investment arm of Prudential and oversees $170 billion in assets under management.
