The French group said the duo will be charged with launching international absolute return bond investment strategies, which are pencilled in to be on the market by the end of the year.
Gilbert joins the firm after 16 years with La Française AM, where he oversaw multi-strategy-focused bond fund and also served as head of bonds. He oversaw a team of seven staff covering more than €15 billion in assets.
Meanwhile, Collet was most recently deputy head of bond portfolio management with a focus in inflation-linked investing. He also managed global high yield, eurozone bond and mixed asset strategies during 11 years with the group.
DNCA said the addition of the duo would allow it to expand beyond more traditional areas of the fixed income investment universe and build on its existing absolute return bond efforts.
A spokesperson said: ‘These appointments reflect DNCA’s clear aim to keep on offering new portfolio management strategies aimed at providing sustainable and defensive performances suited to investors’ varying requirements and today’s market environment.’
