Deutsche Asset Management has launched a value-focused equity fund, Citywire Selector can reveal.
The new strategy is called Deutsche Invest Top Dividend Opportunities and is managed by Katharina Seiler, a portfolio manager covering value equities at the firm.
Seiler, who joined Deutsche AM as a fund manager in 2007, oversaw the launch of the new fund in December 2017.
In this approach, Seiler will invest in global equities of second-tier companies with minimum capitalisation of €1 billion.
There are no minimum requirements when it comes to absolute dividend levels of potential holdings, however the preference is given to shares with above-average dividend growth.
According to fund literature, the biggest country weights in the fund are currently US, Germany and Japan.
