Citywire Selector returns to Milan in March with the second edition of the successful full-day format of the fund selector event, which was first launched last year.
It is set to once again be the biggest-ever gathering of fund selectors in the city. Leading fund selectors will be attending the occasion en masse, together with an array of prominent fund managers, as well as an inspiring guest speaker.
Citywire Milan 2016 will take place on March 22 2016 in the heart of Milan, at the beautiful setting of the Four Seasons Hotel.
The programme includes an attractive line-up of leading portfolio managers from renowned asset managers, as well as a keynote address from the influential economist Sony Kapoor, managing director of Re-Define and senior visiting fellow at the London School of Economics.
Kapoor believes the increased availability of information and human behavioural bias are leading investors to avoid diversification and make poor decisions. He also says investment biases and herd thinking are so ingrained that asset managers should consider hiring dedicated devil’s advocates who can 'say the unsayable' about ideas.
In this thought-provoking keynote speech, Kapoor will challenge the consensus which holds sway across much of the investment community and look at the implications for investors and their portfolios.
The line-up of portfolio managers presenting in the meetings-based sessions drawn from leading houses includes:
- BlueBay Asset Management
- BMO Global Asset Management
- BNP Paribas Investment Partners
- Columbia Threadneedle Investments
- Kames Capital
- Natixis Global Asset Management
- Polar Capital
The event is free for fund selectors but places are strictly limited. To register your interest in attending this event and to receive full details of the programme, please email Beatrice Mancini (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Giovanni Ienco (email@example.com)
