Citywire returns to Milan with a new exclusive fund selector event, which is set to be the biggest-ever gathering of fund selectors in the city.
Over 50 leading fund selectors will be attending along with top fund managers and influential guest speakers.
It takes place on March 31 2015 in the classic setting of the Four Seasons Hotel, in the stylish heart of Milan.
The event programme promises an enticing line-up of leading portfolio managers from distinguished houses, as well as an exceptional keynote speech given by Alessandro Fugnoli.
Fugnoli is a strategist at Kairos Investment Management and author of the highly-esteemed “Il Rosso e il Nero” - Italy's most popular weekly commentary piece on the economic and investment strategy themes.
During his address, Fugnoli will share his distinctive views on the global economy and on the financial markets, looking at the implications for investors and their portfolios.
We will also be joined by Prof. Roberto Savona, professor of financial markets and Institutions at University of Brescia, along with Oreste Auleta and Filippo Stefanini, co-authors of 'Mutual Fund Risk' a study that will be published in the forthcoming book ‘Mutual Funds- Building blocks for Investment Portfolios’ published by the Oxford University Press.
In an exclusive and tailor-made session, Prof. Savona will discuss his latest research on mutual fund risk, analysing the risks relating to market dynamics and mutual fund exposure.
Following this, Oreste Auleta, head of wrapping and product management, and Filippo Stefanini, head of hedge funds and manager selection, both from Eurizon Capital SGR, will discuss the operational risks encountered by fund selectors when performing the qualitative due diligence.
This session will shine a light onto the latest research in mutual fund risk both from the theoretical and operational viewpoints.
The line-up of portfolio managers presenting in the meetings-based sessions drawn from leading houses includes:
- Carmignac Gestion
- Natixis GAM
- Polar Capital
