Swiss hedge fund Jabre Capital Partners has launched a European credit opportunities fund on its Ucits platform, the group has announced.
Jabre Capital has assigned Farid Gargour and Angus Rosborough to oversee the fund, the two managers currently work on the credit team at London-based boutique Park Vale Capital.
The four-strong team formerly managed the same strategy at RAB Capital before switching to Park Vale Capital earlier this year. Jabre said the team had produced strong annualised returns over 14 years.
The fund is set to adopt a long/short and paired strategy for the European corporate credit portfolio of absolute return opportunities and is set up on the JABCAP (LUX) UCITS platform.
It will operate on an unconstrained, absolute return basis across the European credit sector and can invest across the entire capitalisation structure.
Commenting on the launch, Philippe Jabre, founder and CEO of Jabre Capital Partners, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome both the team and the fund to the JABCAP Lux platform. This highly experienced group has an outstanding track record of success and will complement our existing talent and strategies.’
