Fiera Capital has launched two new equity strategies to capitalise on broad market opportunities, the $123 billion company has announced.
Fiera Capital has launched the Fiera Capital Global Equity fund under the Magna Umbrella Fund plc, which is managed by Charlemagne Capital.
The Dublin-domiciled Ucits fund will invest in 35 to 45 companies and will aim to have a low turnover, with an investment horizon of over 60 months.
The strategy will focus on the ‘best of breed’ quality companies with sustainable and competitive advantage, along with attractive valuation.
Meanwhile, the firm has also launched the Fiera Capital US Equity fund, which is a concentrated portfolio of 25-35 stocks, in order for the managers to have a high standard of knowledge across all holdings.
The firm had been active throughout 2017 with the launch of a new emerging markets fund, the soft closure of its top-performing frontier fund, as well as the departure of AAA-rated Akhilesh Baveja in December.
Fiera Capital oversees $123 billion in assets as a Canadian-listed investor. Charlemagne Capital runs its fund platform, Magna Umbrella Fund Plc.
