BlueBay Asset Management has hired former Deutsche Asset Management bond specialist Kaspar Hense to bolster its investment grade team, the London-based firm has announced.
Hense joins as a portfolio manager covering global sovereign and aggregate bond strategies.
Hense brings with him almost 10 years of investment experience, having begun his career in 2005. He spent the bulk of this period as a fund manager at Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management.
The appointment of Hense brings the number of managers in BlueBay’s team to 24 investment professionals overseeing around $30 billion in assets under management.
Commenting on the appointment, Mark Dowding said: ‘We are excited to add Kaspar to our group as a proven alpha generator. I’m looking forward to working with Kaspar as we continue to grow our global investment grade strategies.’
During his tenure with DeAWM, Hense had been lead manager on the DWS Institutional Danish Mortgage Bonds fund between March 2007 and February 2011, according to Citywire data.
