BlueBay AM's emerging market debt co-head David Dowsett will longer manage funds, the firm has confirmed.
As part of his new role as strategic emerging markets adviser he will look into structural trends in the emerging markets space.
Dowsett previously managed and co-managed seven strategies, the biggest one being the BlueBay Emerging Market Bond fund, with around €899 million under management.
She started at BlueBay in July 2005 and previously worked as a credit analyst in EM corporate research at UBS. Kurdyavko was also previously employed at Alliance Capital in quantitative research.
Both Dowsett and Kurdyavko will continue to report to CIO of the firm Raphael Robelin.
Dowsett joined the firm in 2002 from Deutsche Asset Management, where he was a board director responsible for emerging markets.
Commenting on the change, Robelin said: ‘David’s focus on longer term structural trends in the market, coupled with Polina’s continued leadership of the emerging markets investment team underscores our commitment to being at the forefront of investing for clients.’
