AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has launched a multi-premia fund for its liquid alternatives team, AXA IM Chorus, the company has announced.
The AXA WF Premia fund invests globally in liquid equity, interest rate, foreign exchange and credit instruments. It aims to achieve risk-adjusted returns uncorrelated to traditional asset classes through the liquid diversified approach.
The new fund will be managed by Hector Chan and Jérôme Brochard, with the help of Augustin Landier, who runs the AXA IM Chorus Research Lab. They will also use software engineering from the AXA IM Chorus Technology team led by Philippe Muller.
The Hong-Kong based AXA IM Chorus team is led by Pierre-Emmanuel Juillard, who re-joined the asset manager from Goldman Sachs in April 2016. Chan and Brochard also worked at Goldman Sachs and joined the team at AXA IM in September 2016.
AXA IM added that client needs were changing with market conditions and the liquid alternatives space offered investors a liquid solution in a low yield environment.
The SICAV fund is domiciled in Luxembourg and registered for sale in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. Registration is ongoing in Switzerland and pending in the UK.
