Raiffeisen Capital Management has boosted the fund selection team managed by Eva Polly.
This was revealed to Citywire Selector’s sister website Citywire Deutschland.
One newcomer is Andrei Diakonov, who will be responsible for quant allocation in the team, focusing on fund selection and partner management in the equity space.
Previously Diakonov was a fund manager at Union Investment Austria and worked for about six years as fund manager at Volksbank Invest and provided advice for the equity fund VB BestSector-Invest as well as the convertible bonds VB Convertible Bond.
Another hire is Christian Staritzbichler, who strengthens the fund management capabilities of the team. He will assist Polly on the company's biggest funds, including Raiffeisenfonds-Sicherheit, Raiffeisenfonds-Ertrag and Raiffeisenfonds-Wachstum.
Staritzbichler also works on bond selection for the firm.
Prior to this Staritzbichler worked as fund manager at Amundi Austria covering multi-asset and funds of funds. He was also responsible for discretionary absolute return mandates and provided fund selection advice.
