Architas has hired two new members for its investment team who will report to CIO Jamie Arguello, the investment company has announced.
In her new role as senior investment manager she be responsible for the Architas portfolios distributed in Belgium.
Meanwhile, Richard Chiang has joined the firm as a quantitative analyst to support and develop the fund and asset class quantitative screening process. He had been an analyst at Standard Chartered Bank since 2014.
In addition, Architas has promoted Alex Burn from investment analyst to investment manager to co-manage the forthcoming Global Equity Income fund.
Burn will also take on co-manager duties for the Multi-Asset Passive range alongside lead manager and deputy CIO Sheldon MacDonald and Stephen Allen.
Commenting on the appointments, Arguello said: ‘Julie has significant investment management experience, which makes her well placed to take on the existing multi-manager portfolios we offer in Belgium.'
Arguello added that Burn will focus mainly on UK-focused portfolios, while Chiang's appointment is designed to strengthen Architas' quant and risk analysis efforts.
