In the first of a new series, Citywire Selector runs the rule over recent analyst appointments to bring you a round-up of how fund management teams have been strengthened over the past two weeks.
Constantin Wolf has joined Western Asset Management’s global credit team in the role of credit analyst. He joined the fixed income investment specialist’s London-based team headed by Annabel Rudebeck, who is head of Non-US credit at Western Asset.
Wolf previously worked at JP Morgan for 11 years in both New York and London. He served in a number of roles, including as a senior credit analyst responsible for investment grade TMT, high yield services and UK pubs sectors. He also worked as a senior credit risk manager and advised JP Morgan's investment banking team on a number of M&A transactions.
Independent asset manager Oldfield Partners has expanded its analyst coverage with the appointment of Alexandra Christiansen as an analyst, working across all the firm’s strategies.
In addition to adding further experience to the firm’s investment process, Christiansen will also take responsibility for the company’s engagement efforts, as the firm looks to maximise the impact of its stewardship role.
She joined the firm from Nordea Asset Management in Copenhagen, where she was a research analyst covering energy, materials, utilities and telecoms, with responsibility for sector and stock recommendations for the European Equity long-only strategy.
Prior to this, Christiansen worked at BlackRock from 2008 to 2016, latterly as a research analyst with sole coverage of energy, materials and utilities globally.
Jupiter Asset Management has announced the appointment of James Moir as an equities analyst on its £1.4 billion (€1.59 billion) UK growth strategy.
Moir spent four years at UK Financial Investments (UKFI), helping to oversee the UK government's investments in the Royal Bank of Scotland, Lloyds and UK Asset Resolution, most recently as an executive director covering capital markets.
