ML Capital has teamed up with US boutique Advent Capital Management for the launch of a multi-strategy fund, the company has announced.
The Advent Global Partners Ucits fund will be hosted on the MontLake Ucits Platform and will be led by Advent’s Marc Friezo and Doug Teresko.
Advent has teamed up with MontLake in order to provide investors with access to the strategy on its Dublin-domiciled platform.
The Advent Global Partners Strategy was launched in 1996 and applies a relative value approach to investing in volatility and credit markets, with an event-driven bias to capture compelling asymmetric opportunities.
The strategy combines the firm’s proprietary fundamental research capabilities with quantitative analysis to exploit mispriced idiosyncratic volatility opportunities and identify misunderstood credits and corporate valuations.
Genesis Advisors will also work with Advent in order to help provide the Ucits structuring and seed capital.
Commenting on the launch, Advent’s COO, Kris Haber said: 'Given current global equity and credit market valuations, our Global Partners strategy seeks to generate attractive risk-adjusted absolute returns while exhibiting low beta and correlation to traditional asset classes.'
