Former Acatis fund manager Marcus Reck has resurfaced at German boutique prismatic funds and will oversee a new global equity strategy for the Hamburg-based boutique, Citywire Selector has learned.
It is understood Acatis company founder and fund manager Hendrik Leber has stepped in to replace Reck on both of the strategies following his departure.
In his new role, Reck will run the newly launched IP Blue fund, which is a global equity fund with a strong focus on US and European markets. It is designed to meet investors’ demand for strong, risk-adjusted returns and long-term investment horizons.
The IP Blue fund will sit alongside the boutique’s three existing funds – the IP White, IP White Pro and IP Black. These are all Luxembourg domiciled.
Leber stepping in to run the Liechtenstein-domiciled Acatis Fair Value Aktien Global fund marks his second stint on the strategy. He oversaw its launch in May 2005 before handing sole responsibility to Reck in early 2015.
