Aberdeen Asset Management’s head of Asia Pacific fixed income is to leave the firm to join an Australian rival.
Victor Rodriguez, who was named head of the Singapore-based department in January 2014, will step down from running two bond funds in the process.
He will join Australia-based Challenger Limited as head of fixed income, effective April 18.
Prior to joining Aberdeen in 2009, Rodriguez was deputy head of fixed income at Credit Suisse for 13 years, beginning in 1995.
In his first position at Aberdeen, Rodriguez served as head of fixed income – Australia before moving onto the broader regional role.
‘Victor leaves with our best wishes and we would love to thank him for his work since joining Aberdeen as part of the acquisition of Credit Suisse in 2009,’ said a spokesperson from Aberdeen.
