About Jacques Chahine

Jacques Chahine was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1939. He holds a PhD in Mathematical Statistics from the Sorbonne University. He founded Jacques Chahine Finance in 1988, a company which specialises in the treatment of financial information. It is now part of FactSet Research Systems, and has been since 2004. He has been the chairman of Digital Funds since 1998. The majority of his industry experience came from spending 27 years with Group AC Nielson where he is currently their Chief Statistical Officer. Outside of fund management, Jacques's interests include the history of old civilisations, archaeology and etymology. He also enjoys tennis, chess, music, walking and the cinema/theatre.
