About Alexandre Dugerdil
From his Swiss office in Geneva, Alexandre Dugerdil is responsible for fixed income products at independent Swiss asset management group Unigestion and is the best fund manager in the Bond US Dollar sector based on his average monthly performance over three years. Dugerdil's interests outside of fund management include wine-tasting and skiing and he has nurtured a sophisticated bottom-up approach to investment in just over five years as a fund manager. After working as a professor's assistant at the University of Geneva for a year, Dugergil moved into fund management with Unigestion in 1998 and worked as a co-manager on bond products. In 2001 he took sole responsibility for the firm's bond products and his key fund is the €4 million Unigestion AM Uni-Global fund (USD). He also runs the Swiss Franc, Euro and Sterling versions of the fund, which have a combined value of €130 million and controls various other specialist mandates worth €175 million. Dugerdil was born in Geneva in 1972 and gained a degree in Corporate Management and a Masters in Economics and Finance from the city's university. He also earned a certificate in asset management from the University of Lausanne's Financial Asset Management Engineering (FAME) programme.
