Gunther Kramert joined the equities team of Union Investment’s portfolio management in September 2007, where he has been head of the Equities Global Team since April 2013 and has been responsible for the UniGlobal fund since October 2012. Prior to this, Gunther was in charge of various equity funds and responsible for analysis of technology, media and telecommunication stocks. From 2002 to 2007 he worked as an analyst for technology stocks at BHF-Bank in Frankfurt, where he later moved into a management function in asset management. From 1997 to 2002 Gunther was a portfolio manager for European equity speciality funds at Deutsche Asset Management. Before that he worked in the same function at Deutsche Bank Schweiz in Zürich, Switzerland, and as an equities analyst at db-research in Frankfurt. Gunther trained in banking commerce and is a certified EFFAS analyst (CEFA).

Objective

The aim of the pension fund is to achieve long-term capital growth in addition to generating market-driven returns. At least 51% of the Fund's assets must consist of equities. Debt securities such as bonds may be purchased temporarily. Up to 49% of the Fund's assets may be invested in money market instruments or bank deposits. Derivatives may be used for investment and hedging purposes. The investment decisions are made on the basis of current capital market assessments.
