Vegard Søraunet is a Senior Portfolio Manager at ODIN Fund Management. Søraunet was born and educated in Norway, and is now based in the firm’s Oslo office. He runs two equity funds for ODIN, focusing on a value-based investment strategy, a philosophy that Søraunet has not changed over his tenure in charge of the funds. Søraunet started his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers as an accountant before moving to ODIN in 2006 as an analyst. He studied Finance at the Norwegian School of Management, and enjoys golf and skiing outside of work.

Objective

The fund invests in companies which are listed or have their head office or origins in Sweden. The long-term goal is to give a higher return than the Swedish stock market. The Fund is actively managed. The intention is to invest in companies whose share price is lower than what the manager believes is the company's real value.
